I didn't write Home Life of Lancashire Factory Folk during the Cotton Famine. Sorry. Personal views, swearage, not suitable for minors. Retwts not endrmnts.
Decided to draw another old, vintage romance comic cover based on a song I like. This time Buzzcocks’ Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve). Here is said comic cover.
Just reading this from @hanleyPa - it is excellent. Prompted vague memories of the Burnley and Pendle Musicians Collective. Did I ever tell you about digging a drainage trench with a member of The Notsensibles when Deeply Vale was coming to Edenfield? Via Route.
This is demonstrably false and really nonsense - and as the former Home Secretary, she knows it. Any interview where she says this, she should be challenged for lying
Or, put another way:
It's possible that support for Brexit will never fall below a floor within the lifetime of those who still believe in it. That floor may be 25% to 35% of the population.
So demanding >65%+ desire for Rejoin before we even try is a self-defeating absurdity.
Tomorrow the Court of Appeal rules on the ban of Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation.
In February, the High Court ruled the ban unlawful.
The Government decided to appeal this decision and police have continued to arrest people who have peacefully opposed the ban.
Amnesty International has intervened in this case because the Palestine Action ban was a grave misuse by the government of sweeping counter terror powers.
Trump’s White House UFC fight this weekend has required more than seven federal agencies, hundreds of staff working onsite daily and at least $60 million, according to a legal filing.
Quite a use of government resources for fight night. 🤔

@FootballCliches "Son Heung-min's South Korea beat Czech Republic 2-0 as Group A takes shape..."
BBC headline after day 1 - too early for the table to "take shape"?
Ok, fellas, we see all your tags and we get it.
But.
Being a shitty person doesn't make someone a legitimate military target under international law. Climbing on a tank for internet clout isn't enough to become a combatant.
Do something that actually qualifies — then we can talk. Until then, we'll keep our drones for real military targets 😉
Richard Burgon just exposed the most glaring double standard in British policy
"Imagine if this weekend in London there was a Russian real estate event selling Ukrainian land. The government would ban it immediately.
Instead, we have an Israeli real estate event openly advertising the illegal sale of land in occupied Palestinian territories. The government recognizes Palestine. Why isn't this banned?"
In this Imagine documentary of 2021 I go to Makerfield, Ashton in Makerfield. I will never forget the late great Alan Yentob weeping in the front room of my childhood home on Osborne Road. The one in front of the flower park.
