@IntactInsurance is the worst insurance company to deal with for insurance. Never seen such absolute mockery. Accident on Aug 28th, 2024 with truck and cattle trailer, almost 5 months later and no agreement on vehicle settlement. 5 weeks for claims specialist to answer an email.
@Milkabot@JimBenn71220505 I’m not sure if it does in Ontario but I’m sure they are collecting for sale somewhere in the world. You have to sign away the rights to the carbon credits that would be captured from the product before application.
@Milkabot@JimBenn71220505 I believe it’s a carbon credit play. The product is supposedly capturing carbon from the atmosphere. They then have the rights to the carbon credits and will sell them on the market.
@LeeLaframboise@Wilsonfarmgrain Hard to say how the pieces will fall. But the ‘smart’ guys will always tell you the right decisions after the fact. I’m 32, so have growth on the mind. Can’t be silly but can’t be on the sidelines either. Can’t complete with the ‘big guys’ so have to carve a path of your own
@Wilsonfarmgrain@LeeLaframboise Those wise men bought land for less than current cash rent per acre and it would pay for itself in 5 years. Now it’s worth big $ and appear very smart. If I started to save $ to buy land in full the $ I save every year would get ate up in the increased appreciation of the asset

@islandviewag Crop Insurance is a no brainer in my eyes. With all the $$$ it takes in this day and age to grow a crop it is a very cheap input in the grand scheme of things. Not sure why someone wouldn’t spend around $10 acre to guarantee an income for the year.
