I stand shoulder to shoulder with my friend JC Seneca in calling for the president to immediately reverse his inexcusable executive order renaming Lake Ontario.
This isn’t just about our relationship with Canada or Trump’s Tariff Tax on Americans. It’s part of this administration’s broader campaign to whitewash history.
They want to forget America’s original sin of slavery and the fight for civil rights. They want to roll back women’s suffrage. They want to turn back the clock on LGBTQ equality.
The illegitimate renaming of Lake Ontario is a blatant attack on the indigenous peoples who stewarded these lands and waters long before European arrival, and who have faced continuous persecution ever since.
The name Lake Ontario is part of our shared history, as Western New Yorkers and Americans. We won’t let Trump and Congressional Republicans erase it.

We’re suing the Town of Orchard Park.
Why?
I asked for police reports that describe any interactions between officers & ICE or Border Patrol.
The town thinks those records should remain secret. We disagree.
Happy birthday to me:

The threat of AI driven job displacement is real, especially for the 670,000 working women who hold administrative jobs in New York.
That’s why I launched the FutureWorks commission. Our workers won’t be left behind as we build the economy of the future.
