On Dec15, the @GEF_SGP organized a national workshop on carob (Ceratonia siliqua) value chain with UNDP & General Directorate of Forests. 100+ participants (private, public,CSO, CBO, resarch, ..) explored its ecological, socio-economic, territorial & climate resilience potential.

A new challenge launched by a Tunisian CSO, with the support of @GEF_SGP in Tunisia 🇹🇳 to preserve the #biodiversity of very small islands and protect it against coastal erosion: strengthening of salicorna, protection of plychaetes and strengthening of migratory bird nests

Sustainability of projects led by CSOs is one the pillers of @GEF_SGP success.
Visiting a project in a 🇹🇳oasis which established a gene bank of local varieties of palm dates resilient to #Climate_Change and salinity shows excellent achievements, one year after of project closure.
