@WayneTyson11 I kind of think so in HS. Quit catching by HS and went raw dog in LL/Pony League with the chest protector flap covering most of the direct hits. LL Majors, surgical wire in knee, got hit right on that knee, nearly passed out. Coach put me right back in as backup was horrible.

@WayneTyson11 Imagine the chest protector smell. Also as the youngest brother, I got newer things later in HS as I was BIGGER than older brothers, and they also didn't play in HS. I did play football in second hand cleats from what was then my future brother in law.
