Reconciliation within the -#Eritrea|n communities in the diaspora is badly needed. Moderate voices need to step in and ensure the community receives services without political interference. Politics should not be involved in service delivery.
Many face targeting, extortion and even detention, including young children under the age of 2. Their situation needs urgent humanitarian attention. Your voice matters. Since you advocate for justice in the region, your support for Eritreans in Egypt would mean a great deal.

Hi @khaledmahmoued1,
I’ve been following your posts about the Horn of Africa and Eritrea’s tensions with Ethiopia.
I hope you can also highlight concerns about Eritrean refugees in Egypt, where reports point to growing risks and mistreatment.

The prospect of yet another conflict in #Tigray, #Afar, #Ethiopia, and/or #Eritrea is devastating.
Instead of inflaming the issue, I urge members of the diaspora communities to call for peace in unity.

Congratulations to #Ethiopia|ns on the inauguration of the #GERD. It is certainly evident how the #GERD brings pride to Ethiopians, and hope other gov'ts in the region focus on building meaningful projects.
In 2014, when #Russia and #Iran started helping #Assad, they bragged how #Russia never lets its friends down, unlike #America, which asked Mubarak in #Egypt to resign.
A decade later, #Russia and #Iran can't even fight their own wars.
I guess there is a day for every dictator!
A huge congratulations to the people of #Syria! While the future bring more uncertainty, what has taken place is an opportunity to seize. Hoping for more stability and reforms that the people desperately need.
A new petition was presented at the House of Commons in #Canada raising awareness of human rights violations in #Eritrea and acts of foreign interference by the Eritrean regime in Canada.
Canada needs to take action. Huge thanks @GarnettGenuis for your continued advocacy!!
5 years later, it’s hard to even out words into the devastation we have seen.
And even worse, all the destruction was to go back to where we were prior to the “friend with benefits” type of relationship between #DIA and #Abiy.
#Eritrea|ns and #Ethiopia|ns deserve peace.
Oct 15, 2019, when #AbiyAhmed won the #NobelPeacePrize, I said to @CBCNews
"Abiy is making an alliance with the Eritrean dictator, but not with Eritrean people," .
"To put it bluntly — sleeping with a brutal dictator does not constitute peace building."

@WediMahta This is what happens when people refuse to prioritize their interests (peace and prosperity) instead of idolizing the very leader that works against their wellbeing. It is sad!
