@MegKatWrites Yay!! The first book doesn’t really make you want to read more until you get to the last few chapters. Book 2 steps up its game, but it’s very much an “enemies” to lovers romance. Characters get better, arcs are better. Entertaining, romantic, but not the best series lol ❤️

@AshlyRice9 I don’t go into the actual value / Gold Standard, but I do use coins (rounds), silver pieces (skits), and paper money (decks). I keep their US dollar equivalents in my outline so I can keep track of how expensive something is lol.

@sarareadauthor I hear “there are no rules” a lot by writers who hate being confined by plot structure or grammar rules, but I think some people use it as an excuse not to learn the building blocks of a good story. So I say, learn the rules—then break them as you see fit.

Thought of the day: the group projects they forced us to do in school — the ones where EVERYONE failed if one person didn’t do their part — were never about the workforce (lazy people just get fired).
