@greateranglia Awful service. Why let customers get on a train you know cant get anywhere. Got from Ware to St Margarets in an hour. Train now just sat in platform not going anywhere and 0 updates being provided by station staff or driver.
@OffTheLineBlog Chester, Kiddy, Kings Lynn, Brackley, Scunthorpe will be in the Top 7.
Then any two from Darlo, Hereford, Curzon, Scarborough, Spennymoor, Chorley, Shields, Radcliffe, Alfreton and Buxton.
Can Southgate go now? Tactically inept.
Sloppy on the ball, negative and passive off the ball.
No structure to the play. How were we actually trying to hurt Denmark in that game? No left hand side to the team. No midfield.
@OffTheLineBlog@Jake_Lawlor Can't see it.
Think it will be back to Guiseley for Lawlor. Some CB pairing at NPL level Lawlor and Mbeka if they do go for him.
@TrevorOakley1 Being able to play understudy with Main and a certain 6'5 CF who's name rhymes with Bark Meck would certainly take the pressure off and help bring the lad on #bringhimhome
@BlythsGreenArmy Forgive my ignorance. But what happened with Fenton? Seemed to have you going along quite nicely. Then ushered very quietly out the back door, but not to another job that I can see.
@DarloSince1883@BenPearson1997 AA being Akwasi Asante in this case. As he's on the books that would be Asante, Nelson, Curry, Main. Adding a 5th expensive striker to that group surely must impact ability to invest elsewhere.
@tom_breedon@BenPearson1997 Definitely seemed to slot right in. Was it Cam Salkeld and Hedley he already knew? Which probably helped.
But has all the attributes to push on to c.20 goals a season which if you can find a couple of strikers who can do that will really push you up the league.
@piersmorgan Hilarious take. ๐ If the FA Cup doesn't matter to the big six anymore they're welcome to withdraw.
You should be warned though, without the FA Cup, Arsenal's last silverware was in 2004. Lucky winning nothing means so much to you. Enjoy playing for 4th place #FACupReplays
@BenPearson1997@TrevorOakley1 Think that's a fair summation. Liked watching him play as very tidy on the ball. But not a 'ball winner' like Platt which is probs more important from a 6 in this league. And doesn't carry the ball / get forward in the 8 mould of Hatfield and Liddle.
@TrevorOakley1 Both well run clubs, but I dont think you can underplay the significant local government support in relation to their grounds / facilities. Where would those clubs be if their fanbases were left to fund capital and trading improvements.
If only DBC could have the same view.
@BenPearson1997 They will undoubtedly be prepared, but they need to be formally adopted by the board. That may not have happened yet and will probs be scheduled in line with submission.
Outdated information will be just that. I'd be more interested in actual vs budget or cash position today
@BenPearson1997 You say ours have been ready a while back? Proof? When was the board meeting to formally adopt them?
I'm just struggling to see where the lack of transparency is. It's typical business practice. You will have a full set of accounts to review in the next 3 weeks.
@BenPearson1997 And others that havent? Eg Exeter havent reported theirs, are they being opaque about their financial position?
When you have limited resources. You focus on key issues. Reporting the financial position of (30 June 2023) almost a year ago won't be representative of today
@BenPearson1997 Scarborough are a mutual society. Which follow different rules to Ltd co's. They have 7 month reporting deadlines and their year-end is 31 May. They reported at the end of December at the end of their allowance. As is typical of lots of companies large or small.
@BenPearson1997 But they are due by 31 March. There is precedent for information being released to this deadline. Not least because the YourClub accounts will be prepared in line with the statutory filing.
I think you get a lot right re the clubs communication but this is alarmist at best.
@BenPearson1997 Whatโs the issue? Accounts due on 31 March 2024, they have always been filed in or around the end of March. The timing of other clubs submissions is irrelevant.
What do you expect to learn from some unabridged accounts (balance sheet only) at 30 June 2023?
