Berdasarkan hasil pantauan warga, dilaporkan terjadi kebakaran/pembakaran hutan dan lahan di wilayah Pegunungan Tengah, Kabupaten Puncak, Papua Tengah. Api dilaporkan terus meluas.

Hingga kini, belum diketahui apakah penanganan oleh petugas pemadam telah dilakukan. Semoga api segera ditangani dan tidak meluas ke wilayah lainnya.

This polar bear died of starvation in its homeland, which is supposed to be teeming with prey. Photographer and biologist Paul Nicklen, who has spent more than 30 years in the Arctic, says that during most of those years he only came across one dead polar bear, and then within just two weeks his team found two that had died of starvation. Polar bears rely on sea ice to hunt seals, and with rising temperatures and receding ice, the search for food becomes longer and more difficult, potentially ending with some of them dying of hunger.
