O regulador de telecom foi pra TV dizer que tem "a maior concentração de engenheiros de software do país" pra bloquear o app.

O desenvolvedor respondeu no X:
"Você não pode parar o Bitchat. Você não pode nos parar. Free and open source. Unstoppable."

Ele está tecnicamente correto.

Pra bloquear o Bitchat, o governo teria que desligar o Bluetooth de todo celular do país. Ou confiscar os aparelhos. Ou proibir ugandenses de ficarem a menos de 100 metros uns dos outros.

O regime ordenou Starlink suspender operações. Controle de satélite. Controle de fibra. Controle de torres.

Nenhum desses controla Bluetooth.

40 anos de investimento em censura.

Derrotado por ondas de rádio de curto alcance que existem desde 1994.

E o Bitchat ainda manda transações de Bitcoin offline.

Bobi Wine, líder da oposição, pediu pra população baixar antes do apagão. Dessa vez eles vão pro escuro armados.

Belgium regrets the decision of Rwanda to cut off diplomatic relations with Belgium and to declare Belgium’s diplomats persona non grata.

This is disproportionate and shows that when we disagree with Rwanda they prefer not to engage in dialogue.

Belgium will take similar measures: the convocation of the Rwandan chargé d’affaires a.i., declaring Rwanda’s diplomats persona non grata and denouncing our governmental cooperation agreements.

Det är med sorg jag har fått information om det fruktansvärda våldsdådet i Örebro. Mina tankar är hos de som har drabbats och deras anhöriga.

Det är en mycket smärtsam dag för hela Sverige. Mina tankar är också hos alla dem vars vanliga skoldag utbyttes mot skräck. Att vara inrymd i ett klassrum med oro för sitt eget liv är en mardröm som ingen ska behöva uppleva.

Regeringen står i nära kontakt med Polismyndigheten och följer noga händelseutvecklingen. Insatsen pågår fortfarande och det är viktigt att allmänheten följer information från polisen. Min uppmaning är också att nu ge polisen den arbetsro de behöver för att utreda vad som hänt och hur dessa fasansfulla brott kunde ske.
