@CardioNerdsJC It depends on onset (<24h?, Persistent? Paroxymal?), Age(!!!), Comorbidities, Symptoms, etc. There is one trial favouring Rhythm control (East-afnet) while plenty did not see any difference in treatment (Race, Affirm, Cabana).
