A homeless friend was placed into housing a month ago. He immediately started to quit drinking and has now stopped completely. Now he is working on working on his heroin addiction. This is what the dignity of housing does. Housing gives people a purpose to get up in the morning.

I believe strongly that what we see in Echo Park Lake today is just the beginning of madness as the homeless crisis continues to grow. Politicians must stop trying to solve homelessness by spending the least amount of money and half-assed measures that only help a few.
