Formally announcing my membership of the Antiracist Antifascist Make America Great Again Movement
There are no policy differences between the Make America Great Again movement and the Antiracist Antifascist Make America Great Again movement (MAGA for short) but figured it’ll help
When socialists call billionaires a parasite class, they're often describing the role they'd prefer for themselves: receiving the benefits of production without bearing the risks, costs, responsibilities, or sacrifices involved in creating it.
The entrepreneur risks failure, invests capital, delays gratification, organizes resources, and may lose everything. The socialist critique usually ignores that process and focuses only on the reward.
What many socialists object to is not consumption without production. Their politics often centers on expanding access to wealth created by others. What they object to is the producer retaining ownership of what he helped create.
They condemn profit while demanding the products, services, technology, medicine, and prosperity that profit helped make possible. They attack the incentives that generate wealth while treating the resulting wealth as something that should simply exist.
The irony is that those most hostile to "parasites" frequently direct their anger at producers while demanding greater political access to the producer's wallet. The dispute is rarely about parasitism itself. It's about who gets to control and consume the wealth once it's been created.
@ToddHagopian You're right, lets' vote for the transgender kids and Free Palestine lobby groups instead, they're doing such a great job destroying their home states and cities so ruining the country isn't a significantly harder task.
It's because they view them as slaves to a White supremacist system. "Coons", a common pejorative.
The kind of parasites that view George Floyd as a good person because he was killed are not the kind of people who want to coexist in a polite society.
They want a race war, and they want it because they think they can win. And I don't blame them, Western society has bent over backwards for the last 15 years trying to make amends for ill-will that has been festering since the end of slavery among people that, again, have no interest in peaceful coexistence and blame all their socio-economic and political woes on White people as a race. I don't know how you resolve such a widening gap of morals and culture- especially when the moral resolve of the West, short of the populist right-wing such as MAGA, has weakened to such a pitiful state of capitulation and feckless cowardice.
Hey Jasmine…
Black pilot here.
I think you missed the plot.
Then again, that’s becoming a pattern.
I graduated from West Point.
I went through Army flight school.
I learned to fly the AH-64 Apache.
I deployed to combat and flew 55 combat missions over Baghdad.
Nobody handed me a cockpit because of my skin color.
Nobody lowered the standards for me.
Nobody looked at me and said, “Let’s check a diversity box.”
That’s what people like you don’t seem to understand.
Suggesting that Black pilots, Black engineers, Black doctors, or Black leaders need special preferences to succeed is not empowering, it’s insulting.
I didn’t want a different standard.
I wanted the same standard.
And when you’re flying into combat, the American people don’t care what race the pilot is.
They care whether the pilot is qualified.
Merit isn’t racist.
Excellence isn’t discriminatory.
And reducing every achievement to skin color says far more about your worldview than it does about mine.
@DerdrickDWms@PecanC8 I wouldn’t care?
Did black people suddenly forget how to perform jury duty when a white man is involved?
Sounds like a horrible thing to say about Black people if you ask me
@OrwellNGoode If real, based.
I’d say the same thing if she reality checked him, some people need to be dragged down to reality and a true husband wouldn’t let his wife live in outer space pretending she’s something that she’s not at the risk of destroying her life and marriage.
