Which is wild to me because there’s so much untapped visibility there.
Honestly... if a brand consistently did this well, they’d instantly be ahead of like 99% of businesses on social media.
Not because the strategy is genius.
Mostly because almost nobody does it.
Something I’ve been realizing lately...
Most people completely misunderstand what social media engagement actually is.
Whenever I bring it up, people usually think I mean:
replying to comments, DMs, maybe reacting to stories or whatever.
Because that’s basically what most brands do.
They post.
Log off.
Repeat.
Meanwhile, their audience is somewhere else entirely...
following other pages
commenting on other people's posts
asking questions
sharing opinions
And almost no brands join those conversations.
I think a lot of businesses still look at social media the wrong way.
Like… they think once the bio is set up, the profile picture looks good, the banner is branded, and they’re posting every now and then, that’s basically social media marketing done...
That’s honestly a big part of what I help clients with right now. Helping their brand feel present, visible, and human online without just waiting for people to magically come across the page
But when everything starts coming from the same tools, it all begins to sound the same.
And once everything feels the same, people stop choosing based on who they trust.
A lot of times it just comes down to price.
That’s the part I think people miss.
A place people can go, check who they are, see what they do.
But social media still gets pushed to “later.”
Almost like it’s optional.
And I find that interesting.
Because in a way, it does something similar.
The website says you exist.
Social shows you’re actually active
