Statement from Agudath Israel EVP on being appointed to by @POTUS to serve on an Advisory Board to the @WhiteHouse Religious Liberty Commission:
It is an incredible honor to have been selected to serve on an advisory board to the @WhiteHouse’s newly formed Religious Liberty Commission, for which I am deeply grateful to @POTUS. More importantly, putting honor aside, it is an incredible opportunity to help religious communities like ours overcome subtle (and sometimes not so subtle) acts of discrimination against people of faith. At a time when many segments of American society have been moving away from religious practice and identity, it is especially important that we stand vigilant in protecting our first freedom – religious liberty. I hope I can make some small contribution toward that cause through my work on the Commission.
In the past hours, our brothers and sisters in Israel are under attack hundreds with of rockets have been fired into Israel by Hezbollah, endangering countless lives and sowing fear throughout the country.
In these perilous times we must unite in fervent tefillos. The power of our prayers has the ability to shield and protect. We urge everyone to take a moment and offer special tefillos for the safety and security of our brethren in Israel.
May Hashem watch over all of Klal Yisroel and bring peace and protection in Israel and across the world.
Targeting a group of people simply for the offense of being visibly Jewish is antisemitic.
Protesting an event about protecting the Jewish community is antisemitic.
Collectively holding all Jews responsible for something that you don't like in the Middle East is antisemitic.
Through their actions and their words, these anti-Zionist protestors just confirmed that anti-Jewish hate in America is a growing, inescapable problem — which was exactly the point of the @AgudahNews event.
Michael Sacks, the chairman of the DNC Host Committee, addresses the Agudath DNC event with a rousing appreciation of @theaskan and the great work of Agudath Israel on behalf of the Chicago Jewish community. "Agudah punches above its weight"
Today, Pro-Hamas protestors stormed Agudah’s event at the DNC. That these agitators disrupted an event intended to bring awareness to the growing antisemitism against Orthodox Jews in America shows the importance of the event.
Anti-Zionist protestors disrupted an @AgudahNews DNC event about antisemitism in the US. The event was certainly not about Zionism.
This Orthodox Jewish group was simply targeted for being visibly Jewish.
And these protestors are simply being antisemitic.
Agudah led a nonpartisan voter registration and turnout effort in St. Louis' Orthodox community. Directed by @AriWeisenfeld and supported by many volunteers, they contacted every Orthodox family in the 1st and 2nd Congressional districts. Orthodox turnout doubled from 2022, with over 49% voting early in District 1, compared to the county's 5.7%. Overall, Orthodox turnout was above 70%, far exceeding the county's 29%.
The Islamist army Hezbollah’s most recent attack on Israel, which killed twelve children and teens in a soccer field in a northern Druze town on Shabbos, revealed once again the ugly, violent face of Israel’s enemies.
Whether facing Hezbollah in the north or the remnants of Hamas in Gaza, Israeli citizens are living under the constant threat of Iranian proxies’ animosity.
It is a time for all Jews to intensify their supplications to Heaven to deliver Israel from those who seek to destroy her.
Agudath Israel looks forward to the positive impact this transportation agreement will undoubtedly have on the quality of life for many families.

Met with leaders from @AgudahNews today for an important conversation about our efforts to stand up to antisemitism wherever it rears its ugly head. I will continue to do everything in my power to make sure all New Yorkers can feel safe in their communities.
Agudath Israel met with Captain Joel Rosenthal, Commanding Officer @NYPD1Pct and his community affairs team to thank them and hear about what they are doing to keep our community safe during this time.
To our dear Jewish brothers and sisters on college campuses, stay strong! The Jewish people have been persecuted since time immemorial. However, with Hashem’s help, we have survived, even thrived. The antisemites will come and go. We will endure.
