#PCGrade4 students were in charge of the Community Building Activity for April. They chose to create virtual worlds using @CoSpaces_Edu to represent what #integrity means to them. The activity with audience interaction was a beautiful blend of technology and active participation
#PCGrade5 students completed their robotic representation models for the book “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind.” Students shared details about inputs, outputs, sensors, and coding their robots, along with thinking about ways to improve the design of the robot. #STEMeducation
#PCGrade2 students played with @scratch blocks to create an interactive All About Me project. Students loved editing their sprites and making choices that were important to them. #STEM#studentchoice
#PCGrade5 students are getting ready to build their robotic representations using the Hummingbird Robotics kit @birdbraintech. Prototyping helps students think about where and how the robotic features will be used in their projects. #STEMeducation
Ideas are coming to life as these #PCGrade5 students prepare their @birdbraintech robotic representations. Students are communicating as they complete rapid prototyping and debugging to solve various structural, hardware, and software issues as they arise. #building#compsci
#PCGrade1 students are documenting their learning through photography @AppleEDU. As photojournalists, students will create a story about the upcoming chick-hatching event at school from the baby chick’s point of view. Let the creative thinking begin! #Photojournalism
The @VEXRobotics Go robot arm build is complete. Next step, writing code for the robotic arm to move and perform a specific task. Fourth-grade loves VEX Go! #robotics#STEM#building
#PCGrade5 students read “The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind” and began projects inspired by the book using their @birdbraintech Hummingbird Robotics kits. Students are designing items such as vehicles, electric windmills, and motorized plows. #STEM#CompSci#techintegration
#PCGrade1 students explored the different coding features and tested their code in the 3D simulator using the @iRobot Root robot to draw, play music, light up, and climb magnetic whiteboards. #CodingAdventures#STEMeducation#compsci
#PCGrade5 Ss explored Google’s Teachable Machine, a web-based tool, to create machine learning models. This tool allows users to train a computer to recognize images, sounds, and poses. Ss created a model of different poses for learning about the musculoskeletal system. #AI
Students in #PCGrade4 are building a robotic arm inspired by the Mars rover to learn about space exploration using VEX Go Robotics! Ss were introduced to the VEX pieces by disassembling a previously built robot. They will code using LED bumpers, eye sensors, and an electromagnet.
#PCLowerSchool Ss began the new year with snowflake algorithms and became the programmers, or they were the computers carrying out the instructions. Ss focused on learning to outline the steps in a task made up of a sequence of commands in this unplugged activity. #coding#STEM
#PCGrade5 students practiced their driving and coding skills on the field and virtually in preparation for the @VEXRobotics VEX Go City Technology Rebuild event. #STEM#robotics
#PCGrade1 students are ready to code their sprites using the @OctoStudioApp. Thinking about the sprites' actions first helped students decide which blocks to use. #coding#compsci#STEM
#PCGrade 5 students learn about the importance of communication and collaboration using the @VEXRobotics VEX Go kits. Volunteers solved problems with classmates when robots weren’t working, while others encouraged one another on the practice fields. #Robotics#STEM
