1/ A reflection thread on markets and @PeapodsFinance
Last week was probably my most REKT week in crypto ever. Got hit from every side, the Peapods cascade, the market wide liquidation cascade and even my lending positions.
It honestly was terrible seeing my portfolio get halved again.
It’s one of those weeks you don’t forget.

Let’s make some noise !
🚀 Peapods is quietly rewriting the playbook in DeFi (September Fact Check):
🟢$460K+ revenue so far (~$40K/day → $14M annualized)
🟢$200K+ in $PEAS buybacks already executed
🟢vlPEAS Treasury wallet now holding ~$750K
🟢$550K+ still in the buyback wallet, refilled daily by real yield
🟢Among TOP 10 protocols on Ethereum by 24H holder revenue
And here’s the kicker: @PeapodsFinance is pulling this off while ranked only #254 in TVL and #768 in market cap. 🫛
Peapods Volatility Farm TVL: 96M
Peapods Lending TVL: 50M
$PEAS FDV: 52M
9/3: 1 day revenue: 73K —> Annualized revenue ~26M
I joined @PeapodsFinance telegram recently and noticed $WILD TVL on Peapods suddenly pumped, and with it, the protocol’s revenue pump too. That got me curious about what’s driving the surge.
I’ve spent quite some time trying to understand how Peapods work. In my view, they’re essentially building an arbitrage pool that internalizes arbitrage profits back to the single token provider.
The idea is to create a permissionless tool where anyone can spin up a wrapped token pool. Arbitragers who want to play need to wrap the token first, and every wrap/unwrap comes with a fee, feeding value back to the pool.
What really stands out is the self-lending design to solve the AMM bootstrap problem. It’s pretty clever, you only need to deposit the token you want to farm liquidity for, and the system helps you create the paired side automatically.
Since the initial paired liquidity (USDC, ETH) is virtual, they use a flashloan to deposit into the newly created lending pool, mint the receipt token, then pair it with the wrapped token in an AMM. The LP is then posted as collateral to borrow back the USDC and repay the flashloan.
So if there’s no external USDC depositor, you’re basically just paying interest to yourself. The cool part is the pool utilization always shows 100%, and only once external USDC depositors join do you actually start paying real borrowing costs.
On the flip side, if no external USDC ever comes in, arbitragers can’t arbitrage when the token price goes down, since they can only get receipt tokens, which can’t be redeemed for real USDC. The system solves this by constantly pushing up lending yields until outside USDC flows in.
On top of that, stablecoin or ETH farmers can supply liquidity through the MetaVault, which allocates into these volatility farms for high lending yields:
USDC ~20%
ETH ~6%
Overall, I think it’s quite an interesting attempt at creating an organic yield + token sink for any token. The tool is permissionless, so literally anyone can create a pod for their holdings.
As a $FLUID bull, I saw there’s already a $FLUID/ $ETH pod performing around ~4% APY for $FLUID depositors. But I think a $FLUID/ $USDC pod could have even more volatility, and more arbitrage opportunities, so I created one myself.
Sure, IL risk is probably higher than the FLUID/ETH pair, but I’m betting the volatility can help offset it.
Not 100% confident I fully understand everything yet, but I’ll keep an eye on my pod to see whether @PeapodsFinance can grow into the next DeFi primitive.
🚨 ATTENTION ! NEW POTENTIAL GAMING GEM ON ABSTRACT 🚨

TGE for @spellborne is coming this Friday. Yesterday, they revealed the tokenomics for $BORNE:
300 million total supply
~40 million circulating supply (less then 30 million from airdrop + LP + 5 million from investors)
Let’s talk about price. The meme “1 BORNE = 1$” is already a thing, but now seriously:
0.10$ BORNE → 4M$ circulating market cap, 30M$ FDV
0.25$ BORNE → 10M$ circulating market cap, 75M$ FDV
$1 BORNE → 40M$ circulating market cap, 300M$ FDV
Personally, I’m expecting a launch price between $0.15–$0.25. Spellborne is currently top-tier in web3 gaming. The game is self-sustaining. Expansion to other chains like @AbstractChain. Also, keep in mind this is a @MonStudiosHQ token — and they’re planning to release more games where BORNE will be the core currency.
LFG 🚀
