@bleating_lamb Intresting read Paul. Probably convenient for me that I operate a low input operation. A circular rather than linear system must be the future. It will go mainstream in time but will it be in time ๐ค๐คทโโ๏ธ
Big relief to get finished shearing the ewes yesterday. Theres been alot of soul searching this year but managed to get a 300 and big Will got a PB! There's no success without suffering ๐

@joshuajohnhobso Shearing and weaning at the same time, that's what we're doing. Ewes had crovect a month ago and probably shear in next fortnight. One more crovect 6 weeks or so post shearing. Most cost effective fly prevention for the summer I reckon.
@RobertHodgkins1 There was probably the standard amount of shouting and swearing ๐Got em after a break but then it rained. Vaccinating dry sheep often a challenge ๐
Dogs absolutely arrad after failed attempt at penning big drove of ewes and lambs. Back home for food, water and rest before second attempt ๐ Didn't think it was that hot ๐
Finished tailing yesterday. Cold weather at lambing must have had a worse effect that I thought. Tailed 142% to ewes tupped. Following a scan of 177% (19.4% losses). Good conditions last year had us tail 145% to a lower scan at 167% (15.3% losses).
