Today, it was a privilege to present @PlaneTreeCourt with an Excellence in End of Life Care award to recognise the excellent work that the whole team do to advocate so well for their residents. You make real difference! Thankyou!
@lambeth981 @AntiWokeVicar The most important thing for a believer? 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, mind and strength and love your neighbour as yourself.' Maybe another one is ' do not judge for the measure you use for others is the one that will be used for you'. Be careful people.
We are thh most in debt, most obese, most addicted, most medicated and the least happy generation great food for thought from TED https://t.co/BERrFdCQJ2
Excited to be back to face to face EOL Educator Network meetings. Our Care Home Facilitator @EJWatz is presenting an evaluation of Advance Care Planning in care homes and how this positively influenced patient outcomes @alison_newey@ruthiepm
We recently presented physio Emily Schofield with an Excellence in End of Life Care Award for recognising rapid deterioration of a dying patient & for courageously and compassionately documentating this. Well done and thank you Emily! ✨️ @lizamcil@AngelaHyland8@EJWatz
What can we learn?
That dying is inevitable, recognisable, describable, and that we can prepare for it. The Queen had clearly planned ahead.
That at the edge of life, we can still enjoy love, and peace, and companions.
That we need to get familiar with dying.

Today we presented an Excellence in End of Life Care Award to the Marple DN team in recognition of excellent continuity in End of Life Care and also in demonstrating great support for each other. Well done team! 👏 @alison_newey@EJWatz@SharonPlant12@jkeyes22@LaintonLisa
@PJ_Grayson @JustinWelby I think that you will find that you have missed the point. The principle here is the right to freedom of speech, whether you are Salman Rushdie, JK Rowling or Nigel Farrage... Whether I agree with them or not they have the right to speak freely. This is democracy.
It is appalling that there are threats to JK Rowling after her support for Salman Rushdie. Threats and attacks undermine the freedom on which we all rely to be able to comment. Prayer and much sympathy for both.
@greg_boyd I immediately 'liked' this post, but on reflection I really don't know if good and evil can be objective realities outside of a defined faith system or culture, yet elements within those faith systems and cultures may hold differing definitions of good and evil.
@mbird12 It is wonderful to see this question on here. I have the same emotional response when singing corporately, at a concert, on a football terrace, in a choir, as I do when in church. I have found profound richness and meaning in contemplation and liturgy that causes me to worship.
