Are women with cardiac amyloidosis being diagnosed & treated equitably?
Join us & @BridgeBioPharma at #HFSA2026 to explore why amyloidosis is underdiagnosed in women, how sex differences affect care & whether treatment guidelines should evolve.

Doing the right thing is always the right thing to do, even when it's the hard thing to do. Whether advocating for a patient, supporting a coworker, or standing up for your own rights, you can't go wrong. #NursePower#nurses#dotherightthing#patientadvocate#nurseadvocate

🚨 Atherosclerosis before 30?
Silent disease can start much earlier than we think. Professor @DrMarthaGulati explains why cardiovascular prevention may need to start earlier too.

Women’s CV risk evolves across the life course.
A life-stage prevention approach can help identify risk earlier, address inequities, and move from episodic treatment toward coordinated, lifelong prevention and equitable cardiovascular outcomes.

I summarize the key findings of a 6th-generation hs-cTnT assay, including its population-based reference percentiles and prognostic utility at ESC. With age and sex based hs-Tn and NT-proBNP cutoffs now in both HF guidelines and AMI definitions we can aim for more optimal diagnostic and prognostication, rather than a one size fits all.
What an incredible #ESCCongress 2026!
Munich brought together the global cardiovascular community for four inspiring days of science, innovation, meaningful exchange, and collaboration.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who shared their knowledge, ideas, and enthusiasm, and to all those who made these four days so memorable.
See you next year in Milan for #ESCCongress 2027 ❤️
I lucked out and got a moment with #MadamePresident@LindeCecilia@escardio#ESCCongress
We cannot wait for this power woman to bring all her energy and kindness to the cardiology community. We are very lucky to have her as our leader. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
A major step forward for women at #ESCCongress 🫀
The new 5th Universal Definition of MI explicitly requires sex-specific 99th-percentile troponin thresholds recognizing that using the same cutoff in women and men can systematically underdiagnose myocardial injury in women
It also recognizes SCAD, coronary vasospasm & embolism as causes of primary MI—mechanisms especially important in women.
Women’s heart attacks don’t always look like men’s. Our definitions finally reflect that. We wanted to enforce this in the Cheat Pain guidelines but we didn’t have enough data in the US at that time. Glad this has changed!
