The American International School of Abuja has transferred $760,910.84 to the EFCC out of the $845,852 in school fees allegedly payed by former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello for the education of five of his children at the school.

The sum of $845,852 is allegedly to have been unlawfully taken from the funds of the Kogi State Government.

Peter Obi was born on 19 July in Onitsha, Anambra State, he attended Christ the King College, Onitsha.
He graduated from the University of Nigeria, in 1984 with a B.A. (Hons) in Philosophy.

Before venturing into politics he was the chairman of Next International Nigeria Ltd, he was the youngest of Fidelity Bank Plc, and Director of Guardian Express Bank Plc, Future View Securities Ltd, Paymaster Nigeria Ltd, Chams Nigeria Ltd.

After nearly three years of litigation, Ngige's victory was overturned by the Court of Appeal on March 15, 2006, Obi took over as governor on 17 March 2006.

He defeated the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo in 2010 to serve for additional four years, he decamped to Peoples Democratic Party (@OfficialPDPNig) in 2014.
