Since Tunde Onokoya started his Chess in the slum, announced his progress, story, competitions and all their winnings.
We all cheered , not once did anyone make it about tribe or ask Tunde if it’s just kids in South West that should be learning chess, because e no really hard, you can be Tunde in the East, North, South if you so wish, because Tunde was doing what he could in his own capacity and the life of those kids were changing.
So why are you hate-consumed magots crawling from the abyss of SW making Alex Onyia’s Math Olympiad about tribe rather than celebrating a man making impact?
Why can’t you be challenged to replicate his model in the South West?
Who do una this thing?
The wickedness and envy in y’all heart is just too much.
You claim to have the highest professors, and none of them in your region saw it fit to invest in education on the scale Alex is doing it?
What you spend your life on is spelling of OWAMBE and who owns Ichafu.
Ndi ala!
Nigeria has now been delisted from the International Maths Olympiad, whose finals are happening in Shanghai, China, this July.
It is one of the most prestigious academic competitions in the world.
Nigeria can now only participate as an observer nation, while other countries can participate fully.
This was because of the Ministry of Education’s inability to fund students for 4 consecutive years through National Mathematical Center.
It’s a big shame for Nigeria.
As a moving man or moving woman, especially if you’re a moving penis or a moving vagina, beetroot should be your best friend.
God specially created this root to take care of your heart, help with blood production and circulation.
The taste of beetroot like the root in the word is earthy, not bitter, not sweet, not bland, not tangy, not spicy.
Veechi Natural combines beetroot & pineapple to give you a satisfying and delicious health drink called BEETPINE, and it’s currently our 4th best seller.

- SMEs are closing down
- There’s no electricity
- Fuel is 1,350
- Big business are laying off workers
- People cannot afford to buy fish
- The insecurity is nationwide, there’s fear of kidnapping in the air
Anyone that tells you this is good leadership deserves curses.
You people cannot tell me that the limited allocation from grid is so bad that you will not supply power to areas in 72 hours and more. You cannot tell me it’s so bad that you cannot ration it in a way that every axis of Port Harcourt can at least get 5 hours of supply everyday to wash, iron, and pump water. It’s even more disgusting that I’m requesting for the least 5 hours supply in 2026, a big shame! You’re a disappointment of an establishment. Keep your fake apology to yourselves and start applying empathy.
The worst place to be is zero and I mean financially. When you hit that rock bottom, you begin to see life differently.
The only thing worse than zero is the death of a loved one. Aside from that, there is absolutely nothing worse than zero.
At first, you will be in denial. You will tell yourself that this cannot be your reality until days later. Then days turn to weeks and weeks turn to months.
Slowly, you begin to readjust your lifestyle. You begin to live your new life. Your new truth.
The bad part of rock bottom is the realization that you are completely alone. That all the people who were around were simply there because of your motion. Now it is you vs you.
You are not even used to asking for help, so it is difficult to ask anyone. Especially because you know people are going through their own struggles.
People will not even believe that you are fighting for your life.
If you do not fight back harder, it slowly gets to a point where you can no longer afford things like food, data, transportation, toiletries, you name it.
You start having sleepless nights, panicking and living on “ifs” and “whens.”
Bills are due, with no payment in view.
Then if care is not taken, you hit a new low. That is when you come to the realization that there is in fact no rock bottom. No matter how bad you think things are, they can get even worse.
That is when you start running into debt, owing loan apps, friends, acquaintances, siblings, etc.
There is a level of character development rock bottom teaches you. Sometimes it is good that you experience it, other times it is better that you do not. But it is something that will most likely happen to everyone at least once in their lifetime.
Please and please, if you are making any money, no matter how small, protect it at all costs. Treat your financial life like a military regime. Help is scarce, very scarce.
More often than not, your story is just a gist to the next man. Not because they do not care per se, but because they are also going through it too.
If you are not at zero, try whatever you can, however you can, not to ever get there. Protect your liquidity. The world is cruel to poor people.
