Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Serhat Gunes. I had the privilege of meeting him in Paris last year, and I will always remember his kindness. Thinking of his family and the entire @AnadoluEfesSK community during this difficult time. 😔😔😔
Her zaman kalbimizde olacaksın Serhat…
Rogkavopoulos injured in the final seconds of the first half. It looked very serious. Hopefully it’s nothing major and he recovers quickly.
@karamouza_vas - Do you have any update on his status? 👀
P.S. Tyson Ward’s fall looked painful as well. That said, trying to take advantage of the situation wasn’t a great look. Maybe it’s time for a quick Fair Play 101 refresher. 🤷♂️ @Tyson_Ward24

Greek derby time ☘️🔴
Panathinaikos vs Olympiacos. The tension is crackling from the opening tip. Olympiacos have come out locked in, bringing intensity on both ends and looking fully focused from the first possession. Every basket feels heavy, every defensive stop fuels the atmosphere. This one has all the ingredients of a classic derby.
Το μπάσκετ είναι αγάπη, πάθος και συναίσθημα! 🏀❤️

@EuroLeagueTUR@FBBasketbol They are all great scoring powers! Fenerbahce has to keep all! I was expecting Luka Doncic performance from Tarik but somehow he was not consistent at all 🤷♂️
🏆 Winning Is a Habit: Fenerbahçe Beko Marches to the Finals
Fenerbahçe Beko has reached the Finals and remains the biggest favorite for the domestic league title.
I had the chance to watch the semifinal series against Anadolu Efes, and I was genuinely impressed by Efes’ performance. They were incredibly close to winning the series, leading by 15+ points in multiple games and competing at the highest level throughout.
What stood out most was Fenerbahçe’s winning mentality. Under Saras Jasikevičius, they continue to find ways to win even when they are not playing their best basketball. This team has embraced the concept of winning. It has become part of their identity.
At the same time, it is obvious that players are exhausted after such a long season. Many are already dreaming of a well-deserved summer break. This is another reminder that EuroLeague and domestic league organizers need better calendar alignment. Players are human, and this season once again brought too many injuries, including several long-term ones.
This is also a message to club owners and management: rotation is not a luxury, it is a necessity. Some players have been forced to play 30+ minutes almost every game. The center position, in particular, is carrying a huge physical burden and remains at significant risk.
Congratulations to both teams for a fantastic series. Now, one final step remains for Fenerbahçe Beko.

@23Llull@Sergio11Mtnez True leaders are measured not only by their successes, but by how they respond to setbacks. A thoughtful message of accountability, respect, and appreciation for supporters. An example worth following. 👏👏👏

Hala Madrid siempre!
@tipota123 Maybe for objective calls like out-of-bounds, timing, and goaltending. But basketball isn’t played in a spreadsheet. A lot of decisions depend on context, advantage, and game dynamics. I see AI assisting referees long before replacing them. 🏀🤖
Basketball is OUT, Referees are IN!
Domestic league derbies have become less about basketball and more about referee debates. Whether it’s Anadolu Efes vs Fenerbahçe Beko or Olympiacos B.C. vs Panathinaikos B.C., the pattern is always the same: whichever side loses claims the referees decided the game.
The problem is that every controversial whistle is magnified through club loyalty. One week a referee is accused of favoring Team A, the next week the same referee is accused of helping Team B. It is impossible for all these accusations to be true simultaneously.
Referees are not perfect, and mistakes happen in high-pressure derby environments. But when every defeat is explained by officiating, it becomes an excuse that overshadows coaching decisions, player performances, and the actual basketball. If both sides constantly believe the referees are against them, perhaps the real issue is not bias, but the unrealistic expectation that every call should favor their own team.
Great rivalries deserve discussions about tactics, intensity, and basketball quality, not endless conspiracy theories after every final buzzer.

A natural reply could be:
Completely agree. Basketball deserves to be discussed for the tactics, adjustments, player performances, and coaching decisions. When every post-game conversation turns into a referee debate, everyone misses the most interesting part of the sport. Hopefully we’ll spend more time talking about pick-and-roll coverage and less time analyzing whistles. 🏀
