Shigeru Miyamoto believes remakes do more than bring back old games, they help introduce them to a new generation of players.
In a recent interview with Famitsu, the Nintendo legend explained that many players move on after a few years, while younger gamers often never get the chance to experience games released a decade ago.
That’s why he believes remaking older titles and making them easier to play on modern hardware is a good way to meet today’s demand.

Xbox has admitted that buying lots of game studios hasn’t worked out the way it hoped.
According to an internal memo from Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, the company lost about 64 cents for every dollar invested in studios.
The memo says Xbox bought studios to grow its game lineup, but many of those deals didn’t deliver the results Microsoft expected.
Now, Xbox wants to focus on a smaller group of first-party studios instead of trying to own as many as possible.
