You wey dey drive 2009 Corolla go dey fear to post video vibing to music in your car so them no go see you as broke when in reality you’re richer than 95% of Nigerians.
We set too much stupid standards for a poor country like ours
All of a sudden, it feels totally plausible that FIFA under Infantino could've actually swayed world cup games just like its been widely speculated during the Qatar and the just concluded editions.
I know a lot of the flak we Africans receive is, at times, unmerited. Some of it comes in the form of banter, but much of it is misplaced or grossly exaggerated. But then you look at Infantino’s plan to turn football into something resembling a private enterprise. You look at how other confederations, Europeans, Latinos and Asians alike, have come together to issue a strong statement rejecting it because it serves neither their interests nor the interests of football. Yet CAF has still failed to take a stand.
Yesterday, or perhaps two days ago, they issued a lukewarm statement saying they were still deliberating on Infantino’s proposal. We all know what those “deliberations” mean. They are simply marking time, waiting to see which way the wind blows before deciding where to stand. And the reason for that hesitation, I suspect, is that money has already changed hands.
It is unfortunate that those in power, those entrusted with leading us and who ought to know better, continue to reinforce some of the very stereotypes so often used against us. It is difficult to ask the world to think better of us when our own leaders repeatedly give it reasons not to. Deeply, deeply unfortunate.
While UEFA is posturing as the saviour of football, which crazily they are at the moment, they should also state when they'll restore the Russian FA which they've unjustly suspended for purely political reasons - against their political neutrality charter.
This matter dey vex me cause I knew this day would come.
And no, not just this person. All over TikTok, you think it's only well meaning people watching? Robbers, cybercriminals, petty thieves, and all manner of unscrupulous people are watching too.
They're picking up details from the information you inadvertently share, the internal areas you show, the systems on display, and even the identifiable faces you feature.
Something as seemingly harmless as revealing your company's email format is a security risk. Once someone knows the format, they can easily guess the email addresses of other employees and use them for phishing or other attacks.
There needs to be a lot more awareness about this. Not everything should be content, especially when it compromises workplace security.
While UEFA looks like the last line of defence from infantino selling FIFA, I know most of the associations under CAF are eagerly looking forward to that 40M privatization booty.
The guys at the NFF are likely salivating already at the prospect of their major cashout.
Tongues. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
The easiest thing to fake as a charismatic is tongues. Yet, we kinda make it the hallmark of the the presence and outworking of the Holy Spirit.
You don't see any of the other gifts being brandished like this because to verify too real. God should have mercy on us.
The United States should never be allowed to host a World Cup ever again. To them, its superbowl on steroids, nothing more.
The bald fraud at FIFA should be probed and given the Blatter treatment, he's apparently more corrupt and has done so much damage to the sport.
@mykeels On the basis of what you want to achieve & the code being able to perform that aim, you then judge it to either be good or bad
Similarly, as God's creation, we are judged based on His agenda for us, the rules to follow & specific process through which we achieve the said agenda
@mykeels A creator sets the standard of what 'good' is. Outside of Him, there'll be no good or bad.
Good will always be relative to purpose of creation, E.g. a good code achieves your aim for it as its creator, irrespective of whether its solve world hunger or defraud the planet.
@aakashgupta This post is about AI but as a Nigerian, all is can see here is that pur decades old electricity struggles can be solved in a couple of months.
Willpower has always been the issue
Lord, let the church be a place where Your gospel is given freely.
Not sold, leveraged or used as a fundraising mechanism.
Protect us from the love of money that Paul said is the root of all evil.
And let every programme we plan, every service we hold, every conference we run be within the means You have already provided.
So we never have to manipulate Your people to fund what You never asked us to build.
Amen.
@TomiwaImmanuel When we understand that the gospel (even as music) exists to propagate the message of salvation, then we won't justify charging under any circumstance for anyone to partake.
If anyone want to charge, they should remove the gospel/christain tag and market it as a social event.
@solaadio This is a discusion about the church and the gospel of Christ and your best approach is to broke-shame instead of properly elucidating your argument. How very Christlike of you.
There's probably nothing more wicked than a church leadership starving God's sheep of the pasture of the word.
How can a church normalise the absence of manna in the wilderness of this generation?
7 Sundays of praise, followed by 5 Sundays of breakthrough and then followed by 3 Sundays of Business seminar.
Haba na!!
Don't people realise how jealous God is over His flock?
The sad thing is that people troop into these pseudo churches, and people are even invited to the altar to receive a Jesus they never learned about.
Judgment day is coming!
Hirelings and wicked shepherds will hear from the One who died to save His church.
