UPDATE: 2:01pm: CR 158 is now open. CORE trucks and workers are still on the road repairing the power lines, so please use caution and slow down as you pass by the intersection of County Road 158 and County Road 13. Power outages will likely continue for the next several hours.

Elbert County will experience a moderate to high risk heat hazard (95-102F) today 6/17/22. At risk individuals include those who are outdoors working, exercising, the elderly, and those sensitive to high temperatures. Poor air quality will compound the hazard.
UPDATE: Due to active fire operations, Elbert Rd. is closed south of the Town of Elbert for southbound traffic and for northbound traffic at 19445 North Elbert Road.
