Saturday, June 13, will be the date for the 3rd Annual Rock Island Road Race through the streets of Eldon.
This year’s event features 5k, 10k and 15k runs. The race will begin and end at Rock Island Park.
Proceeds from this event support the Miller County Child Advocacy Council.

The World of Outlaws made an appearance at Lake Ozark Speedway last weekend. The 410-winged sprint cars were the attraction Friday and Saturday, May 29-30 with some big names.

Eldon High School boys basketball coach Cory Casey will hold basketball camp June 8-11 at the Eldon Middle School Gym.
Grades 7-8 will be 4-5:30 p.m. Grades 9-12 will be 5:30-7:30 p.m.

Lake Ozark Speedway had testing session Saturday, May 9. The Speedway is scheduled to have its first races of the season May 16.

Eugene's boys defeated New Franklin 70-64 in OT Wednesday, March 4, to advances to the MSHSAA Class 2 quarter-final. The Eagles will play Milan at 2:45 p.m. Saturday, march 7, at Moberly Area Community College.
St. Elizabeth's boys defeated Cairo 46-44 Tuesday, March 3, to advance to the MSHSAA Class 1 quarter-finals. The Hornets will play Meadville at 8:45 p.m. Friday, March 6, at Moberly Area Community College.
