Over the past 2 weeks my placement class have loved the new Vet role play. To introduce the provision, Scooby 🐾 visited our Vets, I wrote down his symptoms & decided he needed a bandage & an x-ray. The class then completed their own pet forms. #eyfs #expressivearts #edutwitter

My placement class really enjoyed the mini topic I planned based on ‘Jack’s Giant Problem’. The book retells Jack & the Beanstalk from a new perspective, this allowed the pupils to exercise empathy, considering the Giant’s feelings. They completed some amazing work. #edutwitter

The revamped mud kitchen is going down a storm in Reception. Grass pie, fir cone cakes and mud soup were on the menu today.

After deciding to create a new area in my placement’s outdoor classroom, I sourced a cable reel, pots/pans & made a mud kitchen. This week the children were introduced to the new area, they were very excited to start making potions, pies & cakes. 🍃 #eyfs #edutwitter #outdoorplay

Last week I planned an activity for my placement class. They were excited to create their own space maps. One child enjoyed the lesson so much that he asked to do it independently the next day, he enthusiastically talked about his ideas using fantastic vocabulary. ⭐️🪐#edutwitter

Last week I started at my final placement, I had a lovely time getting to know the class, I feel very lucky to be placed there. They have been reading The Smeds & The Smoos & were excited to watch the story live @ClwydTweets. I can’t wait to begin teaching when I start full time.

I’m late posting, but before Christmas I was lucky enough to work on supply in a Reception class. I planned & organised provision for both the indoor & outdoor classroom. The pupils were extremely engaged in the activities and showed great enthusiasm. ❄️ #earlyyears #edutwitter

To conclude my time on placement I gave each pupil a gift bag, including a key ring, forget-me-not seeds, sweets 🍬 and a book from @TheWorksStores, The Works had a fantastic selection of books, allowing me to gift each child a story that suited their personality and interests.

I have had a wonderful time on my 2nd year placement. I have received such positive feedback from my mentor, VT and parents. My VT said he was blown away with how much I had achieved and parents expressed how much their children have enjoyed my lessons. I have loved every minute.

For the past 8 weeks blwyddyn 1 & 2’s topic has been ‘The Deep Blue’. To conclude their topic the class watched @huwbbc from @BBCNews discuss what makes a newsworthy story. They then planned and produced their news broadcasts based on elements of their topic. #foundationphase

Last week Year 1 & 2 made water filters. The pupils followed instructions to independently make the filters, they layered different materials (cotton wool, sand, gravel & rocks) on top of one another and then poured the muddy water into the filters. #outdoorlearning #forestschool

Last week blwyddyn 1 & 2 created amazing foam prints inspired by the shapes, forms and lines found in the ocean. The children planned their designs and then used printing ink and a brayer roller to produce their lovely artwork. 🎨👩‍🎨 #foundationphase #expressivearts
