I am, today, emotionally wrought.
I'll be posting periodically throughout the day about historical roots of anti-Asian racism in US.
I know that some are deeply familiar with this history. I know that many are not.
We have some great news! The Sound Generations Hyde Shuttle is expanding their King County service to Kent on February 1st! Hyde Shuttle provides free transportation for seniors and persons with disabilities, check out their website to learn more. https://t.co/Z2coGLr9pK

Under the statewide order, everyone must #StayHome except for essential activities until at least April 6.
Essential activities include grocery shopping, medical appointments and essential work.
If you must go out, stay at least 6 feet away from others at all times.
#COVID19 affects everyone.
We've compiled resources to help members of the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities stay safe during the pandemic. https://t.co/dmkwDeyDpH
Stay home. Save lives.
If your outing is essential, keep at least 6 feet of space between yourself and others, and avoid crowds.
For now, social distancing is essential to protect ourselves and our community. @KCPubHealth is sharing ways to face the challenge.
Unemployment Insurance was created in the Great Depression not only to help workers but to stabilize the economy. It works. But with so many independent contractors now that don't qualify for UI, it need to be updated. New ideas welcome.
Councilmember @cmSatwinderKaur has called for a similar eviction moratorium in Kent, which I support.
Iβm also calling for a moratorium on utility shut-offs. Access to water is necessary to keep individuals and our community healthy as we work to slow the spread of #COVID19.
Thank you to all of the courageous doctors, nurses, first responders, cleaning staff, and so many others who find themselves on the frontlines of this public health emergency. We owe each of them a tremendous debt of gratitude.
