I introduced legislation to appropriate $12 million in spending authority for shelter investments for people experiencing homelessness.
W/ these new resources we can invest to make sure Seattleites can live comfortably & with dignity, not in a park encampment, doorway or vehicle.
In this op-ed, @ElectPedersen talks a bit about the importance of building more #childcare for #economicrecovery, especially for women. I'm proud to support @CMHarrisTalley's legislation, HB 1331, to keep impact fees low for that very purpose. #waleg

The Olympia City Council just passed comprehensive zoning reform that has effectively eliminated apartment bans. They now lead the state in ending exclusionary zoning and serve as an inspiration to the work we need to do here in Seattle! #HousingJustice

I’m excited, and cautious, about new data from federal & local level showing an upward trend in revenues. This forecast means more $ to fund economic recovery & equity, keeping our community healthy, housed, & safe, and readying ourselves for the next wave of emergencies.
Many constituents have contacted our office to share their concerns about the rise in visible unauthorized encampments. Rest assured, I’ll never tire of working to sweep the homeless out of D4
@CaitlinKlask I have absolutely nothing to do with this. The affluent D4 residents who elected me don’t give a hoot about downtown. In D4, we need to preserve zoning, speed up SOV travel times, keep undesirables out and stop inconsiderate dog owners dropping poop bags in other people cans.
@zachariahsilk I wasn’t elected to represent city employees. The wealthy D4 neighborhoods that elected me want fiscal responsibly. Under no circumstances will I ask the affluent to pay more taxes.
@MayorTeargas @SeattleCouncil @D5Juarez @MayorJenny Let’s get this straight. I was elected to represent the interests of wealthy D4 constituents. @MayorJenny is a wealthy D4 constituent.
@MayorTeargas @morningmarchsea@SeattleCouncil@PortofSeattle Provided you stay well away from the affluent homogeneous neighborhoods of District 4, I welcome your protests. I’ve been protesting too
@PopulusEyedJo@SeattleCouncil I don’t care. @SeattleMayorTim’s PAC bought my family noise canceling headphones and putting up with a short disturbance is the least I can do for my sponsors.
