@threejsconf Touching or hovering across the revealed particle field plays some melodic glides that ripple back through the particle cloud and acts as a little instrument with some playful interaction. Thank you again #threejsconf and all the speakers for lighting the spark 🙏
Attending @threejsconf was incredibly inspiring, and I came back itching to put what I learned into practice and the first logical thing was to address my own website's boring interactive shader.

🧵
@threejsconf To incorporate a learning from @bruno_simon's talk ("Treat sound as a feature, not a bonus") and be playful with music creation — something I hold close — the experiment also features a zero-sample generative synth with #webaudio, tuned to the microtonal shrutis of Raga Yaman.
@threejsconf Using #threejs and #webgpu with #tsl (thank you @Andersonmancini and @sunag), I deconstructed Lord Ganesha’s 3D form into 60k surface-sampled particles, treated with camera-like depth of field, cavity shadowing, and field turbulence.
@threejsconf I took my lifelong social handle - @electricganesha - and explored what that could mean as a living, digital shrine (also trying to observe Lord Ganesha's own nickname, "the remover of obstacles").
First on the agenda: rewriting my rather quiet homepage shader (which used morphing circle particles to build an organic fabric) and pushing it into a deeper and more engaging interactive experience.
@threejsconf was the first (hopefully of many) and was truly wholesome and exciting ✨ a big thanks to @makio64 and everyone involved and a huge thanks to @mrdoob for creating a tool that we've all been using for years and powers so many different industries 🙌
