@El_Hemi@Werries_ Exactly. Dané tried to humiliate CSA. Meanwhile she was not fit. Just like the last The Hundred tournament. Where she was also left out of the playing XI the whole season - upon which she also made passive aggressive tweets about selection.
@Siphiwegift25@Werries_ Exactly what happened in the 2nd edition of The Hundred. They pick her on account that she is fit and ready and then she can't make the squad. But only CSA gets abused by the public.
@CSChiwanza I agree. But dropping a player who avgs 23 in test cricket is tough none the less. I like Coetzee and obviously coaches and administrators in and around SA Cricket see something great in him and I back their judgement... But if you're Lungi. What do you do? Average under 20? 15?
@SuhailHunter08@ProteasMenCSA Had to count the numbers of players here because it felt like we had too much batting and bowling depth for there to be just 11 players. Good squad. Batting Jansen 8 is great. Having 3 seamers, a spinner, and Markram as option is great. Seeing Rickelton in the team is priceless
@DanCricket93 Lungi has consistently been our best bowler in all formats in the past year or two I think. (haven't looked at the numbers in other formats). I also think he brings maturity and stature to the changeroom. Sad to see him miss out. I hope its fitness related.
@SimD110@PoppingCreaseSA My point exactly. No use dropping one of the best cricketers of all time if you don't have a worthy replacement. Just because someone doesn't perform doesn't mean they might not still be the best person available for the job.
@tristanmav1@Werries_ I agree 100% Just feel for the players on a personal level. Must be a huge shot to the gut. But sport is not easy. And when you get the chance you have to perform. I hope the same logic goes for Elgar. He does not deserve to be excused of his poor performances.
@FirdoseM I see people posting this as an answer/reply to CSA and their fitness requirements, which got me asking what the requirements are in the Oz domestic leagues? Do you you have insight into this?
Playing the victim is a toxic trait. The worst side effect is however that you never realise the change you saught was in your hands all along. You die believing you were done wrong. In fact. You did yourself wrong.
Not sure how committed a player is when they failed a fitness test and then after making a huge scene, starts positing how they are drinking beers and eating potatoes etc the whole time. If you wanted to be fit you could've been. #sscricket
