Kami yung naka-pink. Kayo yung may eagle, green-red tandem, at soundtrack na “Bagong Pilipinas, Bagong Mukha.”
So kapag may DDS na naglalabas ng 48-slide PowerPoint tungkol sa kapalpakan ni Marcos expecting Kakampinks to collapse emotionally:
Okay? And?
Akala n’yo ba masasaktan kami dahil pinupuna n’yo ang politikong HINDI NAMIN BINOTO?
That’s not a gotcha. That’s literally supporting our old argument with updated citations.
“Kain suka kayo!”
Anong suka? Hindi kami ang nag-order. Hindi kami ang nagluto. Hindi rin kami ang nag-deliver sa Malacañang.
The basic analytical error here is a false dichotomy: porke kontra-Duterte, automatic pro-Marcos. Political identities are not always binary, and opposition to one political faction does not logically imply allegiance to its rival.
In fact, contemporary research on Filipino voters already distinguishes Marcos supporters, Duterte supporters, and the liberal-aligned Opposition as separate political factions. So yung simpleng “anti-Duterte = pro-Marcos” framework ninyo is not political analysis. It’s tribal arithmetic.
You can oppose Duterte.
You can oppose Marcos.
You can criticize Marcos today without suddenly becoming DDS tomorrow.
Amazing concept: political principles can apply consistently to more than one surname.
In political science, this is also where negative partisanship and factional identity become relevant. Many Kakampinks were politically mobilized not by loyalty to Marcos, but precisely through opposition to Duterte-style politics and the Marcos-Duterte coalition. So attacking Marcos does not automatically create the cognitive dissonance DDS apparently expects.
Walang identity crisis kung hindi mo naman siya political identity in the first place.
At bago dumating ang inevitable na:
“EH BAKIT TAHIMIK KAYO KAY MARCOS?”
First, silence is not endorsement.
The absence of a Facebook post is not a declaration of political allegiance. That conclusion simply does not follow.
Second, political attention is not distributed in a vacuum.
For many Filipinos alive and politically conscious today, the Duterte presidency is part of their direct lived experience. They watched the drug war, institutional conflicts, pandemic governance, attacks on critics, and the political culture of that administration unfold in real time.
Marcos Sr., meanwhile, ruled from 1965 to 1986. A huge portion of today’s electorate either were not alive or were too young to personally experience Martial Law. Their knowledge necessarily comes through historical records, court decisions, scholarship, journalism, archives, education, and the testimonies of people who lived through it.
That distinction matters.
Political psychology would describe part of this through recency and experiential salience: events you personally witnessed, especially recent ones, are naturally more cognitively immediate than events you know primarily through historical evidence.
That does NOT mean Martial Law was less serious.
It means human beings tend to react more intensely to political experiences they personally lived through.
So if some Kakampinks appear more emotionally hostile toward Duterte than toward Marcos Jr., that is not automatically proof of hypocrisy, secret Marcos loyalty, or historical amnesia.
Sometimes the explanation is considerably less dramatic:
They literally lived through one administration.
And learned about the other through history. 1/2
@IanIslander3 No. 1 pala siya sa amin, wow!! Can I stand corrected??
Karamihan ba sa nanalo na admin slate anti-Marcos nung nag martial law, the only one that I knew was Diokno and Espina??
Robredo closes: “We are only getting started. Let us show them how it is done!”
“The eyes of the nation are on us, not for the sake of scrutiny, but something deeper. Our light shines as a beacon of hope. But along with this, it is on our shoulders to show the rest of the country what is possible. That has always been our charge…”
@DeusXMachina14@QuingAndre
@Michael550265@NutribunRep Where's your evidence ehh admit it or not Duterte hideously defending ninja cops and not praising cops who really did their job and 2nd of all criminal lang ang proud kayo hindi drug lord napatay kasi drug lord at user gaya ni BBM dati si Duterte sorry stay salty
Isang batang hirap maglakad.
Pinatakbo.
Hindi niya kaya.
Naupo siya.
At binaril.
“Parang may direktor.”

No to hospital detention! Yes to dignified and accessible healthcare for all! 💗✊
