🚨⚡️🇶🇦 Sheikh Jassim's group are still monitoring Man United, and are keeping an eye on the current situation!
“They [the Qataris] are desperate for a club in England. The Emir is a big fan Manchester United. I expect to hear rumours about Qatar coming back into the race.”
🚨 NEW:
Manchester United are NOT going for Sandro Tonali. At this stage, the intention of United is not to proceed. United believe the player is too expensive and that going to Newcastle and trying to sign both Lewis Hall and Tonali could likely take over €140-150m, which is considered too much. #MUFC [@FabrizioRomano]
Gross dereliction of duty by @premierleague for continuing to allow this grotesque debt burdening of Manchester United Football Club. Remember we were debt free before the Glazers got their grubby hands on MUFC.

■ How is United’s debt structured?
■ How much has the debt cost the club?
■ What does it mean for Sir Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS?
On Friday, United announced they had added a further $125 million in long-term debt to the pile, after refinancing $425m worth of pre-existing debt that was due to be repaid next year.

🚨New
#mufc were debt-free before the Glazers’ £790m leveraged takeover in May 2005. That deal loaded £604m of debt onto the club with Old Trafford as collateral.
Debt peaked at £773m in 2009-10 during fan protests. After refinances and the 2012 NYSE listing it dropped, but latest refinance pushes total debt to £728m. That is only £45m off the 2009-10 peak.

@Livetalkfootbal So basically, the debt is the Glazers' doing. Maybe that is why they could want SJR to buy out the rest of the shares in the future before debt gets worse? Idk 🤷♂️
🚨New
Debt belongs to Glazers, not Ratcliffe. He bought 27.7% in 2024 without taking on new loans personally. But higher interest payments cut cash available for transfers and infrastructure.
INEOS use debt regularly and United have drawn RCF more under Ratcliffe. Biggest impact is on new 100,000 stadium plan. Borrowing for it gets harder while legacy debt costs more.
