he nodded his head, a small smile on his face as Blackwhip retreated back into his body, hiding away from the world.
"of course. . .i'm more than happy to help, anytime."
she held her hand carefully up to the light, inspecting it for any traces of her injury. she turned it this way and that, eyes still incredibly wide.
". . . thank you. it's nice to be free of the pain. ."
"yup. . .congratulations, your broken fingers are no longer broken!"
he said, a large smile on his face that could outshine the sun itself.
"and any other damage that may have been done to them has been healed too."
she was completely frozen. she was more afraid, than anything, that moving would mess everything up.
"oh — the pain is gone. ."
quite an obvious statement, but could you blame her? she'd never seen anything like this before.
"it. . .takes a bit of concentration to keep blackwhip under control."
he said, his brow furrowing as he watched the water seep into her broken fingers, healing them rather quickly.
"but you can't deny the results. . ."
mina's nervousness turned to shock as the water surrounded her fingers. the relief was instantaneous — enough to make her gasp. this was healing she would never be able to achieve.
"incredible. ."
"hey, we all have our flaws, kyoshi used fans to help her airbend, i have. . .that."
he said, motioning to blackwhip as it began to bend the spirit water around her broken fingers.
"okay. . .i'm still practicing waterbending and can't waterbend normally so. . .this may take a minute."
he said, the tendril of green and black energy moving elegantly towards her hand, the water following its movements.
mina was mesmerized for a moment — she has always been secretly envious of water benders and the beauty of their element.
"um. . if it isn't too much trouble, i suppose that would be okay. ."
"it's okay, believe me. . .i've endured far worse."
he said, motioning to her fingers as he tilted his head to the side slightly.
"so, still want me to heal your fingers?" he asked, blackwhip snaking out of his back and bending the spirit water out of its bottle.
she lowered her gaze again, suddenly ashamed of her actions. it wasn't this person's fault. she simply assumed it was another doctor coming to antagonize her.
"i. . apologize for my outburst. . my first week on the job has been. . difficult, to say the least."
he chuckled softly as he nodded his head, leaning against a wall as he looked at her.
"figured that was the case. . .at least you don't have to wear a compression sleeve to make sure your arm isn't in constant pain. . ."
this made her pause to think for a moment — and finally look up into his eyes. this certainly wasn't the first time she had broken a finger in training. it was guaranteed not to be her last.
". . . i'm afraid it's a bit too late for that warning."
". . .well, in any case, don't make the same mistakes i've made then."
he said, placing the bottle back as he folded his arms over his chest.
"i'm one good broken arm away to being never able to use them again."
if she was anything, she was stubborn. she shook her head. she didn't even need to look up to see who it was — she was far too grumpy to care.
". . . i'm clearly managing just fine."
". . .I can heal your fingers if you want. . ."
He offered, fishing his bottle of Spirit Water he had gotten from the Spirit Oasis. He doesn't mind using some to help her!
". . .I know. I don't know waterbending is giving me such problems."
He said, allowing Blackwhip to emerge from his back, and he began practicing the Water Whip, Blackwhip mimicking his movements.

Observant eyes kept watch on the Avatar, Kyoshi approached him with hands behind her back. ❝ Perhaps one must undergo training, no .ᐣ ❞ She'd ask, oceanic irises staring at Izuku like daggers.
❝ You have yet to master your bending, Izuku. ❞
