A few years ago, I came across this picture of my Grandpa: probably taken in 1940 and, no doubt my Gran was the photographer. The signpost was intriguing and with the help of social media it was possible to pinpoint the location.
Today, after a trip over the border to Pendle Parkrun in Colne, I finally managed to visit the junction between #Earby in #Lancashire and #Skipton in #YORKSHIRE Being on my own, I struggled to recreate the image, but I was nice to stop at the place they’d both been 84 years ago!
@soclingo@MichaelWarbur17 Today, I made it to the location! Struggled to recreate the original photo of my grandad, but it was nice to finally visit somewhere he and my Gran (no doubt the photographer) had stood about 84 years ago!
My second time running (although the ascents were too steep for me to run) the 10-mile #Settle Loop Challenge; organised by Sue Ryder @teammanorlands Hospice. Perfect weather for it, although I couldn’t spare any time to stop and photograph the views from the top!
