The Tin Price exceeded US$56,000/t in London overnight, and is priced similarly in Shaghai. These prices reflect a +87% price premium above the assumed long-term price of US$30k/t used in the Oropesa Tin Project DFS.
This sustained price surge, which has resulted in average 12-month tin prices exceeding US$41k/t has us positioned very well as we continue our discussions with project financing parties, potential equity partners and metal offtakers.
The current price movements do not appear to be being driven by one single supply shock (like previous price spikes) but a general concern that currently tin suppliers will be not be able to meet forecast future demand - let alone maintain current production levels.

Rubidium… it’s likely one of those niche minerals you’ve never heard of… easy to overlook and forget about… but its role in some of the world’s most advanced technologies is starting to attract serious attention across global supply chains. $ELT.AX Cleveland Project in Tasmania has plenty of it. Significant intersections have been confirmed and specialised metallurgical test work is currently underway.
As Stockhead outlines, rubidium has applications across quantum computing, GPS technology, night vision goggles, fibre optics, precision timing, telecommunications, electronics, and medical imaging, making it critical and a strategically relevant mineral for advanced economies... AND is currenty priced at an exorbitant US$1,120/kg (US$1.1M/t) for 99% Rubidium Carbonate.
For Elementos Limited (ASX: ELT), drilling at Cleveland has confirmed over 200m of rubidium intercepts within the Foleys Zone, where it occurs in quartz alongside tungsten and other critical minerals including molybdenum, bismuth and fluorspar.
Cleveland is a historic tin mine with established tin and copper resources, an updated tungsten Mineral Resource Estimate and growing evidence of broader critical minerals potential. As global attention turns to securing supplies of specialist minerals, Cleveland’s critical minerals continues to strengthen its strategic relevance.

Elementos (ASX: ELT) is pleased to be featured in @hallgartenco’s latest Andalucía mine trip report, following its visit to our Oropesa Tin Project in Spain.
The report comes at a significant time for the #tin market, with Hallgarten noting the tin price at around US$54,000 per tonne, supported by demand from technology and military sectors alongside ongoing global supply constraints.
Against this backdrop, Oropesa continues to stand out as the only advanced-stage tin development project in Europe.
Hallgarten highlights Oropesa’s completed Definitive Feasibility Study and Maiden Ore Reserve Statement, as well as its planned production of a high-grade, low-impurity tin concentrate and proposed pathway to refined tin metal through Spanish smelting infrastructure.
As tin demand continues to be driven by electronics, technology, industrial and defence applications, the need for secure and transparent supply chains remains increasingly important.
Elementos is focused on advancing Oropesa as a strategic European source of tin, positioned within one of the world’s most important critical minerals markets.

Europe’s technology supply chains rely on materials that are often overlooked, and rely on a large % of imports.
Tin is one of them, requiring 84% non-EU imports to meet demand.
A new feature in El Confidencial newspaper has highlighted why Spanish tin will play an important role in Europe’s mineral security, with Elementos’ Oropesa Tin Project in Córdoba, Andalucia positioned as the most advanced tin development projects inside the EU and one which secures tin metal for downstream European manufacturers.
As Seville prepares to host the International Tin Conference from 19 to 21 May, the timing is significant. The global tin industry is gathering in Spain at a moment when there is additional focus on supply chain dependability, resilience, responsible sourcing and industrial independence are firmly on the agenda.
