We have so very few remaining paintings by Velasquez. They are beyond precious. Why can’t the @NationalGallery provide proper protection for the treasures? How on earth these Stop Oil vandals were allowed to enter carrying the hammers? Why no one stopped them? Where is your security? Similarly, men who have fought and died in battle to protect democracy should also be thought of as those who have sacrificed themselves, so that we can vote. I absolutely agree with Glenda still. We must all vote, at the very least to honour those who have died so that we could.

When I was a teen Glenda Jackson told me: "You must always vote. Even if you vote for the Tories.. make sure you vote because the suffragettes died so you could." Her advice really impacted me. I have voted every opportunity I've had since and passed on that exact same advice 1/2
