600-700 elephants roam between Tsavo East and Arabuko-Sokoke Forest through human settlements during drought. 1000+ conflict incidents have been recorded since 2022. We're funding @ArabukoSokoke to build a community-led early warning and rapid response system across 60 villages.

Desert-adapted elephants in northwest Namibia share scarce water with the communities around them across a 2-million-hectare range. The ECF is funding a vehicle and logistics for @EHRANamibia to deploy a Mobile Coexistence Unit across the full landscape.

After cyclone flooding damaged Kruger's fence, he's been roaming communal land raising conflict risk. @ElephantsAlive collared him and the ECF is funding more Elephant Shepherds to guide him from harm - protecting elephants and livelihoods.

Yesterday we announced our largest-ever grant of $1.2M over three years for Project Nzau, led by Kissama Foundation, to protect Angola's forest elephants. This will fund tracking collars, elephant research, awareness campaigns, coexistence efforts and more.

Nduye Patrol Station in Okapi Wildlife Reserve, DRC is fully operational. 🙌

The ECF co-funded this remote base for 60 eco guards, and a Land Cruiser, for law-enforcement in a reserve under threat from ivory poachers, illegal miners, and armed groups.
