@Ross_Greer @scottishgreens Ross the tax system was always progressive in that the more the earn the more you pay. With the divergence from uk tax you were already making higher earners pay more. With fiscal drag due to the lack of band increases you dragged lots more people into higher taxation levels.

@HumzaYousaf Taxation is already progressive in that the wealthiest already pay the most. That was already the case before today’s changes. With the Scot gov not following the uk gov in terms of tax Scotland was already taking more from people who make most.
