@Noizombie @BurstSSS Just want to say that he did not do this. A false allegation came out against M2K while Leffen was talking to his stream chat and all he said was to take the allegation seriously and that M2K should respond. The logs of what he said in chat are here:
@KeziaPTH @headfallsoff When that "conservative-core games" image was going around, there were massively popular dunks on it for almost every single game laughing at the fact that someone could interpret the games as rightwing. People on the left saying, no, the politics of what I like must match mine.
@KeziaPTH @headfallsoff I would agree with you a few years ago, but I think, with the growth of fandom culture, there's been a growing scorn for anything but the most charitable political interpretations of media. I think back to the backlash on articles critiquing the politics/rep of FF16, for example
@pixailpmd The scene in Remake gets the tone right, but misses the nuance--Cloud stands awkwardly out of shot in the background while camera just zooms around aimlessly. Despite the extra fidelity, the scene communicates way less of how the characters are actually feeling than in the OG
@pixailpmd I think this moment is well positioned after the scene in the basement that sets up that there may be some romantic tension between the triangle. But here, we see that, whatever may come of it, the three of them can joke around with each other and work well together.
