2 years later … I’m officially a BBC journalist👩🎓🥳
Going into Wales’ largest newsroom at 18 was the scariest, most overwhelming thing I’ve ever done but it’s been the best decision. I am so grateful for all the opportunities and support I’ve had from amazing colleagues !! ❤️
My first Senedd election working for @BBCWalesNews
Four years ago I was representing my area on the @WelshYouthParl - so this week has been a real pinch me moment 🥹📝🏴
After weeks of work I was very pleased to see this story getting the coverage it deserved! It was a challenging investigative piece, diving into the scary world of impersonation and catfishing.
The piece got just below 1m page views and was picked up by many network outlets 🎥📰
A pleasure and honour to have been asked to present today’s event for staff celebrating International Women’s Day!
It was so lovely to chat and find out more about the career journeys of three of BBC Wales’ inspiring female leaders - Delyth Isaac, Carolyn Hitt & Sarah Last 💗

Very pleased to have been able to share Gemma and Robert’s success with this amazing fundraiser! I’m sure the new room is going to benefit so many neurodivergent children in the area and will inspire other hospitals to follow suit 👏 🎥
Loved seeing my latest story go out last week. I interviewed Nancy ahead of her Glastonbury set on the Croissant Neuf stage - the same stage Ed Sheeran debuted on in 2011. Also spoke to Huw Stephens on why the festival’s a huge deal for new artists. 🎤#Glastonbury2025
My research found that many Merthyr Tydfil students stayed local, with few leaving Wales for university - unlike the Welsh average. So, I spoke to many different people to find out what keeps us here - or, like me, draws us back after we leave!
When I applied for my apprenticeship, I said I wanted to improve how my town was represented in the media. So, for BBC Wales’ Merthyr season, I shared my story about my life here. It aired across all outlets - my goal since starting this crazy journey nearly three years ago 🎥
