Ran a live repo audit after the GitHub/TeamPCP breach dropped.

Here's what I actually found 🧵

1/ Trufflehog blank output ≠ clean. It means nothing matched a known signature. Run the manual grep too.

2/ Git history surfaced mimikatz references immediately. Alarming until you realize it's detection test data. Context matters.

3/ One repo had zero .gitignore. One `git add .` away from committing a live API token permanently to history.

4/ Shai-Hulud specifically targets AI tools. OpenAI and Mistral were both hit. If you're building with AI APIs your keys are in scope.
