10/? Why waste energy on healing a body is already ruined? Pain is just how it feels to be alive right? He does get better about this by act 3 & the party learns to pay close attention to his health, but he's gonna need some work post-campaign

🧵 On Morn's scars 1/? - he has a lot! But aside from the ones on his chin & shoulders, they are all recent (orin's betrayal or later). This is probably the biggest hint that he's a shapeshifter. Ofc, he can't remember & everyone's too preoccupied to pick up on the implication.

9/? Most of Morn's worst scars are from either Orin or Kressa, but he picks up more than his fair share on the road too. For him, there's an additional layer of having a poor sense of self worth that prevents him from seeking care.

More on scars - I really love adding scars that tell a story. In Morn's case, pretty much all of his scars except for the ritual ones on his chin and shoulders are recent, gained during orin's betrayal or later.
