Imma be real, I haven't enjoyed posting on here in years. Definitely was caught up in doomscroll'ing and dread instead of focusing on what I care about: Gaming, Speedruns, & my community.

I'm happy to announce I've made some major milestones in my mental health & wanna share that positivity with you.

When I was banned on Twitch a few weeks ago, I was frantically looking in @TwitchTracker_ ⁽¹⁾ trying to determine what caused the ban (You're locked outta your Twitch Dashboard entirely while banned, fyi).

Then being gob-smacked with the fact I've had ~30k unfollows over the last 4 years and my viewcount plummet to less than 20% of what it was in 2020 ... it just all clicked.

"I should use this opportunity for introspection and make the changes I wish to see."

"I should look at when my content had stronger metrics, and get back to delivering for the audience I build years ago."

"They don't hate me. My followers are dormant, awaiting for me to deliver what they originally came for!"

Previously, I had self-worth and imposter syndrome issues hardcore that I alluded to before when speaking with Dr. K on @HealthyGamerGG⁽²⁾; well, I guess I've healed a bunch since 2022!

I know my content has been primarily Political Commentary. I know it's not what people originally followed me for. But I couldn't help it because I was emotionally-stuck on how fucked the world has become, and it caused this "mission" I felt to fight misinformation (this all stemmed from the antivax movement spewing in 2021) and I lacked the willpower to play video games or speedrun — I felt this was way more important to tackle.

So this is the announcement that I'm truly back on my grind. I've returned to Speedrunning, Gaming & my Core Appeal from years ago.

I'm also, for the first time, addressing that my content has sucked ass for quite a while. It was hard to realize, while depressed and traumatized, that I was effectively doing a daily solo-podcast as a means to cope with my daily reality — I stopped serving my audience and community because I was emotionally off-the-rails.

But I don't sit here, in shame over all the time wasted, but rather, in excitement because I can finally move on! I have records to claim, games to play, and a loving community to nurture that's still been by my side this entire time despite all that. You all are the best. And I intend to give you nothing less than that! ✌✨

I'm aware X sucks ass too. It is uniquely terrible to see this app rotted by oligarch-rule and be nothing more than fodder for billionaire propaganda.

The nuances of conversation ruptured to shit because the absolute worst takes are boosted to the top and torturous for everyone else because Blue Check Bootlickers are so deep in the Dunning-Kruger they lack shame for their confidently inaccurate take.

The Engagement Farming is so rampant I had to block all those accounts because you're fed slop — reposted slop, AI slop, Stolen slop and Bait Slop.

Bait Farms lying with the most divisive takes possible on the timeline just to rile up arguments in replies that aren't even delivered in chronological fashion because the Checkmarks get boosted anyway.

Fuck this app, but I have concluded to make the best of its potential (the reach), and to accept I can't yearn for what it was any further, that's dead.
