@Markyb610 Yeah, couldn’t agree more, but by the same token - shouldn’t be sweating over players that don’t want to be at VP.
Be a mad move for him though, Juve haven’t even got CL…
Craig Gordon is remarkable. In Scotland squad at 43. As a goalkeeper he obviously enjoys longevity but still to be active, and heading to a World Cup a third of the way through his fifth decade, is impressive. Gordon made his Scotland debut aged 21 against Trinidad & Tobago in a team that included - *deep breath* *checks notes of outfield players* - Steven Pressley, who has now been in management for 15 years; Gary Caldwell now in management for 10 years; Richard Hughes who stopped playing 12 years ago and is now sporting director at Liverpool; Malky Mackay who retired as a player 18 years ago and is now sporting director at Hibs.
Again, Gordon’s position affords longevity, but his hunger and professionalism are admirable. If he plays, Gordon will become the second oldest World Cup participant after Egyptian goalkeeper Essam El Hadary (45 years and 161 days at Russia 2018) whose gloves have been exhibited in the FIFA World Cup Museum.
@HolteendHorizon We’d have all taken it 5 years ago. Sometimes when we’ve been doing so well we forget where we came from.
Don’t get me wrong…. I still think we should be winning cups & qualifying for UCL! 😂
@HolteendHorizon 100% trust Unai. He proves me wrong every week when the team comes out and I say “Why is X playing!” Then they go out and perform 9 times out of 10 😂
Yeah we’ve missed enough chances to wrap up UCL this season. Stick it all on the cup and get there in style I say!🏆
@HolteendHorizon I think he’ll play Youri & Dougie with Barkley at 10. He’ll rest McGinn. Onana will play the final, don’t think he’d get minutes Friday tho.
I’m not buying the “league is our priority” line now, not after the draw at Burnley. All eggs in the EL basket
@craigan87@nocontextfm1 If you go back & look at the first edition of FM right through to FM24 you’ll see that the progressive adjustments/upgrades also add. They never take away from the game. The spreadsheet always evolved, always got slicker & more immersive.
The revamp was a vanity project IMO.
An honest assessment from Miles and his team.
But really, all you need to do is make it like FM24 and everyone will be over the moon. That’s all it needs. Yearly subtle tweaks & advancements. Not wide ranging changes that make it unrecognisable.
Our Studio Director, Miles Jacobson, discusses the return of International Management and opens up on the journey with FM26 and beyond.
