You've probably heard that daddy longlegs are the most venomous spider alive, saved only by fangs too small to break your skin. Every part of that is wrong.
The common daddy long leg isn't a spider. It's a harvestman, a different arachnid with one round body instead of two, and it can't spin silk. It has no fangs or venom glands.
But you should love it anyway. It spends its days eating dead bugs and rot off the ground, which makes it part of your yard's cleanup crew.
If you see one of these guys in your yard, don't squish it! Count yourself lucky.
Good morning. What a storm that never was. It headed down the highway from Regina to Fort and was actually full force. We drove through it at one pointโhail, wind, and so much rain. It hit the valley and strengthened to the east of us all the way to Melville. One station had 2.23 inches. Our farm got 1/10 to 2/10 as it split at Fort and the west side crumbled.
Canada is doing so well now that one in ten mortgage renewals will not get approved in the Toronto area. That's not a sign of prosperity; that's a failed Liberal government that for 11 years has destroyed the middle class.
Wake up, eastern voters. It's not Trump; it's the guy you voted for.
There is a luxury tax on trucks, and don't let Liberals tell you different. It's on work trucks. I priced a new 3500 and yes, it has a 6% luxury tax. Every oil patch truck or rancher truck needs this size. Yes, a Ford 150 that's over a hundred grand is also hit.
But remember, cheap Chinese crap has nothing. Last time I checked, shit vehicles don't last in rough conditions.
Have a great Monday night. Get to spraying.
The CBC simply cannot report the truth. If they report the truth even just once, their entire narrative will collapse.
PS: Many words changed their meaning in our Orwellian time. "Far right" now means someone who doesn't stop speaking the truth even when labeled 'racist' for doing so.
CBC: "Oh, you killed 16 people? A fifth chance at avoiding deportation is more than appropriate."
ALSO THE CBC: "Oh, you were falsely accused of sexual assault? No fresh start for you."
Wall Street is still trading like weโre stuck in a secularโstagnation Keynesian world where growth is a problem to be stamped out, not an asset to be compounded. A solid jobs report hits the tape and the Pavlovian response is immediate: โtoo hot, inflationary, the Fed has to hike.โ
That entire chain of reasoning is obsolete.
For the Keynesians who still dominate the Street, growth always and everywhere shows up as inflation, so every upside surprise in payrolls is treated as a demand shock that must be punished with tighter policy. Good news on employment is mechanically reframed as bad news for rates, and by extension bad news for risk assets. Itโs the same 2010s playbook, mindlessly recycled.
But we donโt live in that world anymore. We live in a supplyโside world, where incremental jobs are being created by reโindustrialization, energy buildโout, and AIโdriven productivity, not by one more hit of demand stimulus. Yes, a Trump, American System era. This kind of growth expands capacity and potential output; it doesnโt simply bid up prices against a fixed supply curve. Treating productivityโlinked job creation as inherently inflationary is not just lazy, itโs analytically wrong.
The real risk now is that Wall Streetโs Keynesian reflex keeps misreading supplyโside growth as an inflation problem and keeps insisting โrate hikes must follow.โ That is how you end up systematically mispricing both the durability of the expansion and the path of policy, trading a dead framework in a live, shifting regime.
Is Canada finally waking up?
โThe best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problems are your own. You do not blame them on your mother, the ecology, or the president,โ wrote Albert Ellis. Canadaโs downturn is what it looks like when a country refuses that responsibility.
For years, politically convenient narratives elevated Canadian home bias to bubble levels. Washington, and Donald Trump in particular, were cast as protagonists in a story that is overwhelmingly domestic in origin. For the MSM and politicians in Canada it was a convenient scapegoat that Canadians bought hook line and sinker.
The data told a simpler tale: the crowding out of the private sector by the public sector, excessive regulation, virtue signalling industrial policy, weak productivity, chronically low business investment per worker, and flatlining real GDP per capita were visible three or four years ago. Policy did not adjust.
Instead, Canada chose economic virtue over comparative advantage, hardโwiring climate signalling into industrial strategy while constraining its most competitive asset: largeโscale, exportable natural resources. That choice did not merely leave growth on the table; it mispriced risk. The average Canadian lives is denial of Canadaโs true economic predicament.
You can see the mispricing on the screen. Royal Bank of Canada trades at roughly 3.6 times tangible book value, while Bank of America sits closer to 1.6 times, a gap that implies a structural Canadian safety premium the fundamentals do not justify. The spread reflects not superior prudence, but a refusal to price Canadian risk for what it is.
To be clear, Bay Street and the Bank of Canada are still in denial about the countryโs economic circumstances. That inability, or unwillingness, to offer an objective diagnosis is what helped get Canada into this mess in the first place.
Now, as reality becomes harder to ignore, the rhetorical awakening has begun, but it is too late to avert a painful adjustment, and too early to claim a serious course correction. When these assets finally reโrate, it will not be because of who sits in the Oval Office. It will be because Canada has exhausted the alibi of blaming anyone else.

the Henry Nowak murder sounds like a completely outrageous parody of the british criminal justice system. it's hard to believe it's real.
- native Britons can't legally carry a breadknife
- for some reason Sikhs get a special carveout and can carry "religious use" knives of any length. even over 50 cm
- 18 year old boy Henry Nowak is walking home peacefully, is fatally stabbed by Vickrum Digwa with his "ceremonial" kirpan
- Digwa claims to the police that he was racially abused and the responding police immediately believe him and shackle the dying Nowak, ignoring Digwa and his co-conspirators
- Nowak informs the officers that he has been stabbed and the officer says "You've been stabbed? Whereabouts? I don't think you have, mate."
- the officers do not check on his condition, cuffing him roughly as he bleeds out. as they read him his rights, he dies.
- Digwa's mother, Kiran Kaur arrives at the scene and takes the knife with her, attempting to conceal it
- Digwa's brother Gurpreet Digwa made the 999 call and attempted to concoct a defense for his brother, claiming he had been the victim of a racial attack
- Despite the "life sentence" the court meted out, Digwa will be eligible for parole at age 43
- there have been no consequences whatsoever for the police officers that shackled Nowak and left him to drown in his own blood while his killers watched. none of the officers have even been named
each fact is more radicalizing than the last.
When itโs someone elseโs fault, like Brexit, itโs a recession.
When itโs Mark Carneyโs fault itโs โuneven data.โ
This guy is a weasel. Incompetent. Full of excuses. Never to blame for anything.
Right now, live on TV, @MarkJCarney is shamelessly trying to razzle dazzle the Jewish Community.
He is lying. Here is Carney a year ago, affirming the greatest blood libel of the 21st century!
When Liberals falsely accuse Jews of genocide, they fuel hatred against Jews. โฌ๏ธ
One of the three horsemen of economic destruction to the #Canadian economy. He along with @JustinTrudeau and @cafreeland brought the countryโs GDP to 0. It took them a decade but they did it. An extraordinary achievement!
Liberals have been in power for over 10y, spent more than $4 trillion, & expanded the public sector by 40%.
Housing & food prices more than doubled while the economy stagnated.
This isn't a technical recession. Itโs an inflationary recession, and the liberals are 100% to blame.
Sure, Liberals say, Canada is the only G7 country in recession.
Sure, two back-to-back quarters of shrinking GDP is the textbook definition of a recession.
But, they say, it is just a โtechnical recessionโ. A fluke. Everything else is great.
So letโs look beyond the back-to-back quarterly decline: Canadaโs unemployment is now the 2nd highest in the G7โa third higher than in the U.S.โas Canada lost 112,300 jobs in just three months, leaving 45,800 more Canadians jobless since Carney became Prime Minister.
The economy contracted in three of Carney's four quarters in office, something unmatched in the G7, as business investment fell another 0.7% for a fifth straight quarterly decline, and more than $20 billion in net investment fled Canada.
Meanwhile, insolvencies hit their highest levels since 2009, up nearly 19%, with 1.5 million Canadians missing debt payments in just three months and mortgage delinquencies rising 32%.
Canadian households carry by far the highest debt in the G7, while food bank use continues to surge. 1 in 10 GTA residents are now relying on them and visits are hitting a record 4.1 million last yearโup 340% since 2019. Nationwide, food bank demand is up 100% in 7 years.
Almost all these measures are worse than when Carney took office and worse than any other G7 countryโso blaming world events or tariffs wonโt cut it.
Stop the excuses. Own it: This is a full-blown Carney Recession.
More Bishnoi Gang footage of recklessly shooting off illegal guns at a conservation are north of Brampton.
Looks like theyโve made the Canadian Police their bitches.
Carry-on luggage only from now on no matter what your international destination is. The cost of traveling from the @Liberal_Party government's crime-ridden Canada now includes buying clothes and personal items at your destination country or risk getting a life sentence.
If you and your Canadian buddies posted a video of yourselves firing an SKS into the air with an unpinned magazine the entire fury of the RCMP would descend upon you.
These guys?
Nothing. And if something DID happen they would get a lenient sentence.
