Great workshop today in Gleneely with 29 Goalkeepers in attendance (1 missing from pic) lots of talent on show and I’m sure a lot of tired GKs this afternoon. Just nothing better than getting stuck into the technical coaching side of Goalkeeping. #GKUnion @BeNo.1

Forgot to mentions that this was a kid from out outfield sessions, we just having mastered our Goalkeepers scoring 5 and making super tackles just yet 😂😂

Got this message from a parent last night 🙌 definitely makes it all worthwhile! #PersonFirstPlayerSecond

Two sessions done this morning and onto the third now. Not sure if it’s May or the middle of November with the weather today but sure makes it all the more fun 😂#NoSunshineGksHere

First Saturday of coaching in months and by god I’m exhausted tonight 😂😂 absolutely beat lol. But by Jesus it’s good to be back

Another fantastic day of Coaching ahead with the first session being in Killea. Looking forward to getting more of our GKs out on the training pitch, getting them moving and working on our return to training programme.

First evening back coaching and I bloody can’t wait! These kids have missed out on so much, let’s make the sessions enjoyable, they will make mistakes but that’s ok and let’s reassure them. Can’t wait to hear that first sound of a ball hitting those gloves #coaching #goalkeepers

What a morning for coaching, another full Saturday of 1-2-1 sessions with so many super GKs. #SuperSaturdays

[Ciaran Gallagher @CiaranGall1]

Delighted to get my course work submitted to the GK B. A busy weekend getting things finished but really enjoyed it. Big thanks to @Tcanning19 too, have his head tortured asking questions and bouncing ideas and for allowing me in around the 19s too. #AlwaysLearning

[Ciaran Gallagher @CiaranGall1]

Have had many assignments to do for my GK B License but one of my favourites has been to create a presentation for my GKs on team values and ethics - how I expect my GKs to behave. Have really enjoyed creating this one, possibly something I would never have done otherwise

Great opportunity as a coach to challenge Niall with a range of varying serves with the addition of the wet surface. Fully believe that nights like tonight are so important in the long term development of young GKs.

[Gallagher Elite Goalkeeping Academy @EliteGallagher]

1-2-1 session just finished with 11 year old Niall in absolutely horrible conditions Unfortunately living in Ireland we will be exposed to these conditions during matches Great opportunity for Niall to experience training in these conditions and how it may effect decision making

[Aidan O'Hara @oharaa]

And that looks like kids' training can continue which is great

[Gallagher Elite Goalkeeping Academy @EliteGallagher]

Absolutely soaked to the skin but great to get a couple of 1-2-1s done tonight, few more to do before lockdown but individual training plans being designed for all my 1-2-1 GKs to continue development over the coming weeks. #Goalkeeper #GKUnion

Never can have too much Goalkeeping content. Last nights 1-2-1 session with Niall!

Allow your GK to dictate the direction of the conversation and let them to provide solutions but also of course to highlight the positives of any scenario! #Goalkeeper #GoalkeeperTraining #GoalkeeperCoaching

[Gallagher Elite Goalkeeping Academy @EliteGallagher]

One of my favourite moments of coaching is definitely when a Goalkeeper tells me what they could have done better and how they could have achieved it before I even say anything! Allow a GK to build their knowledge by asking them Why/What/Where/When
