Latest station in #EliteDangerous I wanted to name after some Esperanto music. Tried “Aferoj Por Gardi” but “por” is disallowed. Would have been allowed “Ho Mia Kor’” so apparently “por” is a bad word but “ho” is fine. In the end I went for Procesio Multkolora.
Our next colony system has been chosen partly for the views of its multiple suns and brown dwarf substellar bodies. This is the view from HR 3530 ABC 2 D during a detailed survey of the system to plan future projects. #EliteDangerous#StellarScreenshots
@KatsPurr_@7DaystoDie Highly recommend a combination of ED Market Connector, SRV Survey, Raven Colonial and ED Colonise if you really get into colonising. Takes a lot of the guesswork and hassle away from the very, very, very big shopping list. And a Panther Clipper is nice too.
@KatsPurr_@7DaystoDie Just started my second colony system. Loving the colonisation. I love the grind. Ferrying materials while watching TV or with a book. Having things I’ve built and named in-game is great. You don’t make that much income from them, but lots from selling materials to the builds.
@Altitude_derg@EliteDangerous If you get them at all. I tried an op and it bugged out at the end while we sat on the dropship waiting for it to realise we were back and we got nothing. Hoping it’s more stable later today.
@thehighwake It is disturbing that the town I named for my Mum has gone to anarchy and trading slaves. But such is galactic politics. You build the places but you can’t control the what the minor factions get up to there. I will have to see if I can encourage other factions to take them on.
@thehighwake I get this feeling when I see fleet carriers loading up at stations I hauled material for hours, built and named. They might not understand that “Urbo Mia Patrino” means “My Mum’s Town” and “Gastejo Mia Patro” means “My Dad’s Hotel” but I know it and it makes me smile.
@thehighwake I sometimes wish there was a Wiki for all the colonised systems so we could see what people have built and why they called it what they did. But it would be a ton of work. I just hope sometimes people heading through Wolf 52 are intrigued and run it through translation software.
@FrontierAstro@OldManThatGames It is most interesting to see how much the sensors and cameras have come along since I started flying back in those days. That a polygonal shape dimly seen on a readout should actually be a beautiful but terrifying flower when seen through modern systems.
@OldManThatGames@OceanPlanet4546 I tried it. Did a mission with @The_NEONCowboy and we sat in the ship at the end waiting for it to recognise that we were actually back and give us the rewards but it did not. Going to wait until it’s stable. I want those cargo racks. :)
