USMLE Tip: There are 3 ways (at least) to describe the mechanism of action of warfarin. You need to know them all for Step 1:

1. Vitamin K antagonist (VTA)
2. Inhibitor of Epoxide Reductase
3. Inhibitor of γ-Carboxylation

Spend a few minutes getting these down and it may benefit you on the exam.
